The Pier : Expect the Unexpected
After my return home from Amsterdam inspired by an exhibition in Dordrecht on the seascapes of J.M.W Turner, visiting Holland between 1817-1833 and the work by the Dutch Golden Age painter masters like Albert Cuyp.
The Dutch coast-dunes : shifting sand, wide horizons in contrast to the toil of the ever challenging sea, for the fishing community and people living below sea level.
