This exciting collaborative exhibition showcases the work of a group of established Moray artists and makers who have come together to display the best of their creative work in Logie Long Room.
Come and meet the artists. We are: Vera Bohlen (ceramics), Iain Campbell (ceramics), Duke Christie (furniture and art in wood), Karen Collins of Naturally Useful (willow), Jude Edgar (painting), Iona Hall (silversmithing and jewellery) Alison Johnston (painting), Dina Leigh (painting), and Maggie New (painting). Each artist has selected a number of representative pieces to give a substantial taste of their work.
We will be taking it in turns to welcome you to the show, so there will be plenty of opportunities to meet us and talk about our work - get to know more about the thriving art community in Moray, and learn about our varied practices.

Unusual paintings inspired by nature and humanity concerned more about colour and transparency than representation. My practice is creating colour movements to light and darkness. No longer a visual representation it invites the viewer to a personal experience. I also give seasonal Art and the Human Soul workshops in small groups.
My paintings are inspired in the European tradition concerned more about colour, shape and transparency than representation. My practice of painting in layers of a water-based gouache with a binder, has developed in a new perception of colours as they come alive and show their qualities. The creative process between darkness and light is not only concerning what is happening in nature but also what moves humanity and affects the world.
Extended Bio
Art has always been of great importance for me and influenced by the works of Rembrandt and Turner I was inspired to get serious about painting at a very young age. After postgraduate (MA) studies in Fine Art (2014) at Norwich University of the Arts I returned to Scotland.
I have participated in Open Studios and exhibited widely in solo and group shows eg Moray Artists collective.
